S*N*O*W

Tuesday morning we woke up to gray skies and a light mist. We usually head out for playgroup around 9:30, so I got dressed while Barrett was taking a little nap. Just after 9, it started to S*N*O*W! I looked out the front window and everything had been quickly covered by a blanket of fresh, fluffy, white!

I got us ready for our first venture out in the snow this season. Our Baby Sing & Sign teacher, Mrs. Lori was making a special visit to playgroup that morning, so we couldn't miss! The snow was coming down hard and the wind was blowing like crazy, so it was quite the adventure getting Barrett in and out of his carseat and running from the car! I discovered a few things: I would really like a coat with a hood, Barrett needs a heavier coat, and getting around during the winter with a baby is going to be a ball of fun!

Oh my, Mommy...what is that out there?!?!

This wasn't Barrett's first snow. We had a few last January and February when he was tiny. But, this was the first time he got to get out and about in it. Justin was away at work all day, and it was too cold and slick to get out that night. Yesterday the sun came out and dried up some of the streets and sidewalks, so we took some pictures out on the front sidewalk after Daddy got home.

  2. Isn't the first snow of the season the best?! You could so tell in the photos that Barrett was truly amazed with all of the white stuff outside. It's so funny how curious little ones can be. :)
